Dr. Amy Grundy brings over 35 years of experience as an educator in Delaware, working across every level of the system – from the classroom to the district office.
She most recently served as Senior Leadership and School Improvement Specialist with the University of Delaware’s School Success Center, coaching district and school administrators through the Delaware Academy for School Leadership (DASL). She developed and facilitated the Governor’s Institute for School Leadership (GISL) Executive Leader Academy and taught in the UD Principal Preparation Program.
Before that, she spent six years as Director of Elementary Schools for Red Clay Consolidated School District, supervising 14 principals and leading the district’s transition to standards-based grading in K–3. She also built the Red Clay Aspiring Leader Academy following an earlier role as Manager of School Turnaround.
Dr. Grundy’s path started in the classroom – as a middle school teacher, high school assistant principal, and middle school principal in the Christiana School District, where she led her school to meet Annual Yearly Progress.
Outside of work, she stays active daily, listens to audiobooks, and hikes and skis with her husband, Steve.
